The Encyclopedia currently represents a description of regional life and the wider world surrounding it, as seen through the eyes of Nizhny Novgorod residents themselves. Here you may freely publish informational, commercial, and personal materials, create convenient links of the form www.nnov.ec\name_in_russian, and contribute your opinion to most existing articles. The Encyclopedia's editorial team pays particular attention to authoritative sources — statements from influential, well-informed, and successful Nizhny Novgorod figures.

Encyclopedia Principles:

1. The Nizhny Novgorod encyclopedia of Category: People, Category: Places, Category: Phenomena, and more — a wiki-based encyclopedia, freely distributed, edited, and created by its readers.

2. Unlike Wikipedia, the Nizhny Novgorod Encyclopedia may contain information and articles about any Nizhny Novgorod subject, no matter how minor. Moreover, academic style, neutrality, and the like are not required.

3. Plain language and natural human expression are the foundation of our style and are actively encouraged whenever they help convey the truth. Encyclopedia articles aim to be clear and practically useful.
