Founders of the Internets
The founders and intellectual property holders of the "Nizhny Novgorod Encyclopedia" project are the non-profit informatization development foundation "Open Community Nizhny Novgorod Encyclopedia" and a group of paradigm authors, including Sergey Dresvyannikov, Ilya Osipov, and Petr Kuznetsov.
The project administration, specifically the Editorial Board and moderators, is appointed by the directors of the NGO "Open Community Nizhny Novgorod Encyclopedia".
Technical foundation
The project is published with the technical support of the NNOV portal, which hosts and operates the database and develops additional portal services.
Ideological basis of the Encyclopedia
The ideological foundation of our project consists of statements by President D.A. Medvedev on the innovation-based future of the Russian and Nizhny Novgorod economy; the theoretical investigations of the Universum (Philosophy Club) into ways of accelerating the information metabolism of the modern urban environment; the semiotic concept of the information and post-information society; and guidance from representatives of the regional business community and academic elite who have chosen to remain anonymous.
Users
All visitors to the NNOV portal are users of the project. Participants in the portal's forums are privileged users. Regular participation in the work of the Nizhny Novgorod Encyclopedia entitles one to various editorial permissions, the opportunity to receive prizes, and the award of honorary certificates.
