Lenin Monument

In Nizhny Novgorod there are 8 (7?) monuments to Lenin:

• The most well-known is the City Monument to Lenin on Lenin Square in the Kanavino district. This monument is a favorite gathering spot for communists who use it to attract public attention.

• The The Lenin Monument in Sormovo is located in Sormovo District, on the site of the 1905 barricades.

• On the square in front of the Administration building of Leninsky District.

• On the grounds near the building of the Gorky automobile plant.

• In front of the Nizhny Novgorod Machine-Building Plant building.

• In the Park named after May 1st.

• At the intersection of Kominterna Street and 50-letiya Pobedy Street.

• On the grounds of the Gorky Higher Military Rear-Services School (the monument may have been dismantled).
