Grekhova Mariya Tikhonovna (1902 – 1995) — Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Honored Scientist and Engineer of the Russian Federation, first dean of the radiophysics faculty at Lobachevsky University, and from 1956 to 1972 director of the Radiophysical Research Institute (NIRFI).
Achievements
Awarded two Orders of Lenin and the Order of the Red Banner of Labour, the Order of the October Revolution, and various medals.
The title of Honorary Citizen of the City of Nizhny Novgorod was conferred by Resolution No. 23 of the City Duma of Nizhny Novgorod on June 23, 1995.
