The Wildberries warehouse complex in Novinki is a major logistics facility under construction in Novinki (settlement) (the Oksky Bereg residential complex microdistrict) in the south of Nizhny Novgorod. The developer is LLC "RVB", part of the combined company Wildberries Russ. The construction permit was issued by the Ministry of Construction of the Nizhny Novgorod Region on July 24, 2026.[1][2] The facility ranks among the largest warehouse investment projects in the region: the minimum estimated investment is nearly 12 billion rubles.[3]

Project Parameters

A logistics hub with a floor area of 150,000 square meters is planned for a site bounded by Parkovaya, Vysokaya, and Poletna streets. The project is being carried out under an integrated undeveloped-land development agreement: LLC "RVB" was the sole bidder at the auction and paid 127 million rubles for the right to conclude the agreement.[1] Preliminary work began in late 2025.[3] Completion is scheduled for the end of 2027.[1] According to the authorities, the complex will create up to seven thousand jobs — one of the conditions attached to receiving federal funding for the construction of utility infrastructure in Novinki.[2] The site was chosen for its proximity to the federal highway R-158 and the future Gagarin Avenue Bypass Road.[1]

Conflict with Residents and Legal Proceedings

Construction has provoked protests from some residents of the Oksky Bereg residential complex. Residents are concerned about increased heavy-vehicle traffic, worsening environmental conditions, and child safety due to the warehouse's proximity to homes and a school.[1][2] In June 2026, activists again sent a video appeal to the President of the Russian Federation calling for intervention.[3] Following public complaints, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, ordered a report on the results of an inspection; as a result, a criminal case was opened under the article on negligence.[2][3]
