  • GAZ-24 «Volga» — the second-generation Volga, the most mass-produced of the family. Manufactured from 1970 to 1992 (pilot production batches from 1968); from 1985 it was produced in the upgraded GAZ-24-10 version. It replaced the GAZ-21 on the line in July 1970. Almost 1.5 million cars were built in total.
  • GAZ-3102 Volga — the "nomenklatura" Volga with a pre-chamber torch ignition system — the first of its kind in serial Soviet auto manufacturing; produced from 1982 to 2008, it holds the plant's record for longest continuous production run — 26 years.
  • GAZ-31029 «Volga» — the first Volga sold on the open market, produced from 1992 to 1997. It was built on a simplified GAZ-3102 body using GAZ-24-10 running gear and became the plant's record holder for production volume — over 115 thousand cars a year.
  • GAZ-3110 «Volga» — a deep modernization of the GAZ-31029 with new body panels and a ZMZ-406 engine, produced from 1997 to 2004. The principal Volga of the turn of the century, succeeding the GAZ-31029.
  • GAZ-3105 «Volga» — a flagship sedan with permanent all-wheel drive and a V8 engine, conceived as a successor to the Chaika; produced from 1992 to 1996, with only 55 cars built in a small series.
  • GAZ-3111 «Volga» — an attempt to create a new business-class Volga with an original retro design, produced from 2000 to 2004. Because of its high price only about 420 cars were built in a small series; the model's fate mirrored that of the GAZ-3105 — an equally advanced and equally unaffordable car.
  • GAZ-31105 «Volga» — the last "classic" Volga, a restyling of the GAZ-3110, produced from 2004 to 2008. Just over 190 thousand cars were built in four years; the production line was stopped in the autumn of 2008. After the GAZ-31105 was discontinued, the plant turned to a licensed design, resulting in the Volga Siber.
