The Creative Workshop of Pestov and Popov (TMA "Pestova i Popova") is a Nizhny Novgorod architecture studio specializing in the design of residential and public buildings. The studio is headed by Evgeniy Nikolaevich Pestov (born June 28, 1951), who previously worked at Gorkovgrazhdanproekt, NPO Arkhstroy, and TMA "Kharitonova i Pestova".
Activities
The studio employs a number of architects, including Dmitriy Vadimovich Mikhaylychev (born July 9, 1977). Evgeniy Pestov combines his role as studio head with teaching as an associate professor at NNGASU, conducting research in the field of residential and public building architecture.
Recognition
Since 1987, the studio has annually received diplomas and medals in various categories. Its director has been recognized with a letter of commendation from the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
In 2022, the studio prepared land-use planning documentation for the Meschera Lake microdistrict in the Kanavinsky District of Nizhny Novgorod — within the boundaries of Betankur Street, Akimov Street, and Meshchersky Boulevard. The project provided for the construction of a residential complex comprising two apartment buildings of varying height from 7 to 24 storeys with integrated public spaces, a single-storey retail unit of 1,578 sq. m, and an open car park for 126 vehicles; the total built-up area amounted to 7,352.4 sq. m, with 8,262 sq. m allocated to landscaping.[1]
