The I. F. Eglit Residential House is a historic 19th–20th-century building located at Korolenko Street, in the Upper Part. In March 2020, it was added to the register of cultural heritage sites of regional significance.[1]
Protected Status
By Orders No. 110, No. 111, and No. 129 of 13 and 23 March 2020, issued by the Nizhny Novgorod Region State Authority for the Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites, more than twenty 19th–20th-century buildings on Novaya Street were granted the status of cultural heritage sites of regional significance. The I. F. Eglit Residential House was included in this list.[1]
Historical and architectural expert assessments were prepared for all buildings added to the register. In accordance with the assigned status, the demolition of buildings, the installation of utility lines along facades and in the vicinity of structures, and the placement of advertising structures are prohibited within the cadastral boundaries of the properties. Any adaptation of a building for contemporary use must not damage the protected site. The boundary of the territory of the cultural heritage site "I. F. Eglit Residential House" has been established in the MSK-52 coordinate system and recorded in the annex to Order No. 129 of 23 March 2020.[2] On 18 February 2026, the Nizhny Novgorod Region State Authority for the Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites approved the conservation obligation of the owner or other lawful possessor of the I. F. Eglit Residential House (Order No. 16).[3][1]

The building is situated in a city block that falls within the Historic Buildings area.[1] The building is listed as a point of interest.
