Kharitonov Vladimir Mikhaylovich (1919 – 1996) — participant in the The Great Patriotic War, Hero of the Soviet Union, pilot. Over the course of the war he flew 296 combat missions and personally shot down 7 enemy aircraft.
Achievements
Awarded the Orders of Lenin, A. Nevsky, the Red Star, three Orders of the Battle Red Banner, and the Order of the Patriotic War, as well as medals.
The title "Honorary Citizen of the City of Nizhny Novgorod" was conferred by Resolution No. 14 of the City Duma of Nizhny Novgorod dated April 27, 1995.
