Sura — a right tributary of the Volga River, one of the most picturesque rivers of the Volga Upland, from which it originates. The Sura flows into the Consequences of the rise in the water level of the Cheboksary Reservoir.
It flows through the Nizhny Novgorod Region and other regions of Russia.
Ice formation begins in late November and ends in April.
