Schelokovsky Khutor, Shchyolkovsky Khutor (colloquial — Shchelchok), near Sakharnyy Dol — a locality near the former Orbita Factory, Ankudinovskoe Highway, and the Marina Roscha Cemetery.
A forest park in the Sovetsky District and Prioksky District Districts. The park contains three lakes, created by flooding ravines in 1967, for the 50th anniversary of Soviet Power.
The name derives from the locality of Shchelokov Khutor, named after a grocer named Shchelokov who operated a sugar works here in the 1870s — hence the area's second name, Sakharnyy Dol. The earlier name was Makhotinsky Khutor, after a police chief named Makhotin who built the khutor in the 1850s.
"Shchelchok" is a venue for regular public festivities. On the khutor's grounds there is a Museum of History and Ethnography, the entertainment centers "Kray Sveta" and "Shchelokovsky" (saunas, ski rental, paintball), and the Shchelokovsky sports and fitness complex.
