The Nizhny Novgorod Humanitarian Center — an institution in the field of education and pedagogy that operated in Nizhny Novgorod from the late 1980s and throughout the 1990s and the early 2000s. The Center was engaged in research, methodological and publishing work in the field of education.

Activities

The Center published collections devoted to problems of pedagogy and education. In particular, in 2004 the collection «Health and Education» was issued, which carried works by Nizhny Novgorod specialists in pedagogy and in the management of the educational process.

Leadership

From 1989 to 2006 the director of the Nizhny Novgorod Humanitarian Center was the historian Alexander Davidovich Belyavsky — a graduate of the Lobachevsky University (1965), who before that had worked as an associate professor at the same university.
