A magnificent coincidence — that is how the creators of the book of records and achievements describe the fact that its first edition will come off the press on November 4. The publishing house Kvarts made this original gift to the city for National Unity Day.
Over the course of two years, the publishing house team worked on creating the first book of records and achievements in the Nizhny Novgorod Region. Historical, cultural, and scientific facts were carefully selected. The authenticity of each was verified by an expert council headed by the chair of the UNESCO department at Nizhny Novgorod State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Tatyana Pavlovna Vinogradova. A prominent place in the book is given to the chapter on the Nizhny Novgorod Militia. The achievements of our contemporaries were also recorded. Many people wanted to appear on the pages of the book. As a result of a rigorous selection process, those whose records Nizhny Novgorod can be proud of remained. Everyone has a chance to appear on the pages of Nizhny Novgorod's own "Guinness." The edition is planned to be updated as information about new records comes in. |
