Nesterova Street

Nesterova Street - runs parallel to Semashko Street. It extends from Kovalikhinskaya Street to the Verkhne-Volzhskaya Embankment.

Pyotr Alekseyevich Nesterov (1887–1914) — a Russian military pilot. In 1913 he was the first to perform a loop-the-loop. He was born in Nizhny Novgorod. In 1914 he carried out the world's first aerial ramming of an enemy aircraft and was killed in the process.
