What the site looked like and what it offered

The earliest recorded version of the page was built with frames: the web archive preserved only the service message "This document contains frames, so you cannot view it in its normal state"[1]. By 2022 the site had become a single-page site built with the uCoz website builder, with a menu of geographic sections: "Altai," "Astrakhan," "Vladimir," "Irkutsk," "Tatarstan," "Urals," "Nizhny Novgorod," "Caucasus," "Krasnoyarsk Krai"[2]. The home page opened with poetic epigraphs — lines by Stepan Shchipachyov and a quotation from Nikolai Przhevalsky, "Life is beautiful also because one can travel"[2], and the main content was a chronological list of the club's trips from 2002 to 2012. Among the routes in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast were Lake Svetloyar (July 2002), Lake Yefimyevskoye (June 2002), the Ichalkovsky caves (several trips in 2002-2007), the Kerzhenets River (a kayak trip, May 2008), the Bornukovo cave (June 2008), Lakes Charskoye and Mukhtolovskoye (June 2009), the Pustynskiye lakes (September 2009), the Linda River (September 2009), the Kudma River (July-August 2010), and the Pizhma River (May 2012)[2].
