Boris Sergeyevich Tabarchuk

Tabarchuk Boris Sergeyevich (1919–1994) — participant in the Great Patriotic War, retired colonel, and pilot. From 1941 to 1944 he defended the skies over Gorky from enemy aircraft; on the night of 7–8 June 1943, on the aerial approaches to the city of Gorky, he performed a ramming attack on a German aircraft.

Achievements

He was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Battle; over the course of the war he received a total of 5 orders and 13 medals.

The title "Honorary Citizen of the City of Nizhny Novgorod" was conferred by Resolution No. 43 of the Small Council of the Nizhny Novgorod City Council of People's Deputies, dated 22 April 1992.
