at.nn.ru was the website of the Nizhny Novgorod-based limited company OOO "Avtotekhnika NN," which sold GAZ and Daewoo automobiles and operated at 298 Moskovskoye Shosse in Nizhny Novgorod[1]. The address can be traced in the web archive from February 2000; by March 2009 all that remained at it was a generic hosting placeholder page[2]. The company's name was rendered two different ways on the page itself — "Avtotekhnika NN" in the header and "AvtoTekhnika NN" in the signature[1].

What the home page offered

The only substantive snapshot was taken on February 29, 2000. The site fit essentially on a single page: the header "Avtotekhnika," two menu items — "price" and "e-mail" — and a short description of the company[1].

According to the home page, OOO "AvtoTekhnika NN" was engaged in "selling GAZ automobiles of all models" — listing GAZelle" — and also traded Daewoo automobiles and GAZ spare parts wholesale. Separate lines covered warranty service, installation of additional equipment, and "upgrading vehicles to 'luxury' class." The contact given was phone/fax (8312) 46-18-85[1].

Address, registration details, and a second address on the web

The price-list section opened with the company's full letterhead, unusually detailed by today's standards for an open web page: "OOO 'Avtotekhnika NN,' Nizhny Novgorod. 298 Moskovskoye Shosse, Auto Service Building, office no. 1," the same phone number (8312) 46-18-85, and the email address at@infonet.nnov.ru[1]. Below that, without any qualification, the page published the taxpayer ID (INN) 5257039915, the enterprise classification code (OKPO) 43039610, the industry codes (OKONKh) 71100, 71200, and 72200, as well as the settlement and correspondent accounts at AK SB RF OAO "Nizhegorodsky Bank" with bank ID (BIK) 042202603 — meaning the entire set of payment details sat right on the website[1].

The same page also named its second address on the web — Auto.nn.ru[1]. The company's mailbox was set up in the infonet.nnov.ru domain, also based in Nizhny Novgorod[1].

Place in the Nizhny Novgorod internet

In the Archival study of the Nizhny Novgorod internet from the counter.nn.ru rating, the site appeared not from the counter itself but from the nn.ru directory: there it was listed as "Firm 'AvtoTekhnika NN'" with the description "Sale of GAZ and Daewoo automobiles. GAZ vehicle upgrading." No figures of its own for the address show up in the collected Counter.nn.ru data, and it is also absent among the sites that were voted for in the 2004 Nizhny Novgorod Internet Day contest. This is a typical business card site for the Nizhny Novgorod Internet of that era: the page existed so that it could be found in a directory and its listed phone number called, not to build an audience.

How it closed

In total, the web archive index lists 28 captures for the at.nn.ru address, but substantive content survives only in the 2000 snapshot. The last capture is dated March 30, 2009, and by then the site was already gone: in its place was a generic hosting page, "NN.RU — The Best Hosting for Businesses in Nizhny Novgorod," with a message stating that "the address you requested points to this server, but no resource with that name was found," and the phone numbers (831) 419-77-99 and 419-97-84[2]. In other words, by that point the domain itself still pointed to nn.ru's hosting, but no content remained behind it.

As of our check, there is no separate website at the at.nn.ru address. What became of the company itself does not follow from the archival materials.
