nnvozn.narod.ru is a site about the urban-type settlement of Voznesenskoye in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, hosted on the free hosting service «Народ.Ру» (Narod.Ru). In the Nizhny Novgorod Internet directory nn.ru, the site was listed in the «/rub/» section under the name «р.п. Вознесенское» (urban-type settlement of Voznesenskoye) with the description «Site about the urban-type settlement of Voznesenskoye, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast». The earliest surviving web-archive snapshot is dated 9 June 2003[1]; later snapshots show the site still existed at least until 2022[2].

What the site looked like

In the first, 2003 version, the home page was quite simple: the author wrote «Вы находитесь на сайте р.п. Вознесенское Нижегородской области. Добро пожаловать!» (You are on the site of the urban-type settlement of Voznesenskoye, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast. Welcome!), invited visitors to leave a wish in the guestbook or write a letter, gave a link «НАШ ОПРОС!!!» (OUR POLL!!!), and also asked for help with content — as the home page put it, «Если можете, то помогите бестыжему ламеру написать что-то нормальное! (Самому писать некогда)» (If you can, help a shameless newbie write something decent! (No time to write it myself))[1].

Later the site was rebuilt on the uCoz site builder and gained a developed menu: sections «Из истории» (From history), «Посёлок сегодня» (The settlement today), «Фотоальбом» (Photo album), «Гостевая книга» (Guestbook) and «Форум» (Forum), as well as a subsection «Вознесенское до революции» (Voznesenskoye before the revolution) and a search box[2]. At the same time the home page still reported unfinished work: «В данный момент происходит обновление дизайна сайта и наполнение контентом. Если у Вас есть какие-то идеи или материал, который бы Вы хотели опубликовать, обращайтесь по адресу: m2a собака мэйл-ру, Ваше авторство будет указано» (The site's design and content are currently being updated. If you have any ideas or material you would like to publish, contact: m2a at mail-ru, your authorship will be credited) — as the home page put it, this entry is dated «Thursday, 11 August, 2005»[2].

Place in the Nizhny Novgorod internet

The site was included by the compilers of the nn.ru directory as a project about the settlement of Voznesenskoye, but it does not appear in the surviving samples of the Counter.nn.ru rating: no votes for it are recorded in our data, and the rating in this part of the card catalogue is likewise not reflected — for more on the methodology of such samples see the Archival study of the Nizhny Novgorod internet from the counter.nn.ru rating. The site's presence in the «/rub/» directory was its main link to the local segment of the network, rather than participation in general reviews such as the Nizhny Novgorod Internet Day, traces of which are absent from the material.

The fate of the address

The material contains no data on the domain being transferred or officially closed. The 2022 snapshot, taken almost seventeen years after the last dated entry on the page, shows the same 2005 text unchanged — no updates to the page have been recorded in snapshots since then, while the domain and the page itself continued to exist[2]. The compilers of the card catalogue note: the title of the early snapshots is «Главная страница.» (Home page.), the title of the later ones is «Untitled Document», which leaves open the question of whether the domain's owner changed; the last web-archive snapshot available in the material is dated 1 April 2022. As of a check in August 2026, the site at this address was responding.
