1983-1985 – senior electrical mechanic (Baltic Railway, Klaipeda). 1985-1986 – head of a production section (Baltic Railway). 1986-1988 – service in the Soviet Army (Northern Fleet, deputy company commander for political affairs). 1988-1996 – head of a production section of the Baltic Railway (Klaipeda). 1996-2000 – director of the SPK (agricultural production co-operative) “Nestiarsky”; 2000-2002 – chief specialist-consultant for mechanisation at the USKh (agriculture directorate) of Voskresensky District.
