Competed for the “Trud” sports society. 1955-1960 – member of the national weightlifting team. Worked with the national teams of Finland, Cambodia and Syria; head coach of the USSR youth team. 1970-1990 – coached the weightlifters of GAZ (“Torpedo (nnov.ec)” sports club). For 10 years – head coach of the region.

Order of the “Red Banner of Labour”, honorary title of “Merited Master of Sport”, “Honorary Citizen of the town of Zavolzhye”. Chairman of the Regional Weightlifting Federation.
