Metallist settlement — located in the southern part of Kanavino. It emerged in the 1920s. The name is connected to the occupation of many of its residents, who worked at neighboring industrial enterprises — not, as some people imagine, to a shared passion for metal as a genre of rock music, though those people still shed tender tears reading the suburban train timetable, since even the train bound for Metallist settlement proudly bears the same name.
