The enterprise was registered in Nizhny Novgorod, at Nevzorovykh Street, and listed on its home page a phone/fax number with the city code (8312) 38-34-34[2].

What the site looked like and what it offered

The earliest preserved snapshot, from June 2002, captured only the page title — "ZAO "Orghim"" — with no text[1]. By 2005 the site had become a substantive business card for the holding: a menu of sections "about the company," "our products," "price list," "special offer," and "contacts"[2]. As the home page stated, the "Wood-Chemical Industrial Holding "ORGHIM"" had existed "since 1932," and since 2001 it included the Orghim plant and its management company ZAO "Trading House "Orghim""; the text spoke of the modernization of rosin production, the commissioning of a new rosin-cooking unit, and the opening of a rosin disproportionation shop, as well as the fact that in 2002 the plant turned 70 years old[2]. The page had a news feed — for example, an entry dated 10/02/2003 announced the opening of a new product section, "Petroleum Products"[2]. The contact block listed the address "603024, N. Novgorod, 58 Nevzorovykh St.," the phone/fax (8312) 38-34-34, and the email bcr@bcr.nnov.ru[2]. Notable is a discrepancy in the copyright line: while the body of the page referred to the company as a ZAO (closed joint-stock company), the footer read "© 2003 OAO "Orghim"" (open joint-stock company) — as the home page stated, with no further explanation[2]. In the autumn of 2005, a web archive snapshot captured the same page but with corrupted text encoding — the title reads as garbled characters — while the structure and contact details match the earlier, correctly preserved snapshot[3].
