Sukhoy Lane (formerly 2nd Pesochny Lane) is located in Sormovo District. It runs perpendicular to Pesochnaya Street.
It got its name from the fact that there was not a single tavern in the lane. Drunks gave the place a wide berth. But nowadays people mostly drink out in the street, and the lane has long since ceased to be a dry zone. It is now just as teeming with drunks as the rest of Nizhny Novgorod.
