promteh.ru — the website of the Nizhny Novgorod manufacturing and design enterprise LLC "Promteh-NN" (Промтех-НН), founded in 1996[1]. The domain was listed in the nn.ru directory[1], and the surviving snapshots of the home page span the period from 2001 to 2016[2][3].

What the enterprise did

LLC "Promteh-NN" was located at 603158, Nizhny Novgorod, Zaytseva St., 30[1]. According to the home page, the firm was engaged in "creating a complex of machines used in the overhaul of pipelines," and also took part in overhaul work on trunk pipelines using equipment of its own manufacture[1]. The 2007 contact details included three city numbers with the 831 area code (223-93-00, 223-92-00, 223-93-30), a fax (223-94-00, 223-94-04, 223-94-40), and the email pkf@promteh.nnov.ru[1]; the page separately mentioned the city's upcoming switch to 7-digit phone numbers on the night of 28 to 29 July 2007[1]. The general director was listed as Anatoly Mikhailovich Tyutnev, Candidate of Technical Sciences[1][3]; a later snapshot lists him as a laureate of the Russian Government Prize and the Gazprom OJSC prize[3].

In 2007 the site's menu consisted of the sections "About the Company," "Products," "Photo Gallery," and "Customer Service"[1]. Among the equipment produced, the home page named the self-propelled lift "Atlant" for holding a pipe during overhaul of trunk gas and oil pipelines, the heating unit "Zhar-Ptitsa" ("Firebird") for heating the outer surface of a pipe before priming, the shelter "Krylo" ("Wing") for protecting an insulated section from precipitation, and the pipe-cleaning unit "Sherkhan" for removing old insulation[1]. The earliest recorded snapshot, dated 2001, shows only a short placeholder: "Promteh-NN Design Studio INFORIS" — apparently a business-card page from the developer studio that preceded the firm's full-fledged site[2].

Fate of the address

The last web-archive snapshot with full site content is dated 8 March 2016 and carries the notice "Copyright © 1996 - 2014. LLC 'Promteh-NN'" — meaning even the site's own copyright line had not been updated for two years by that point[3]. When checked in August 2026, the site at this address was responding.
