hleb-nn.ru was the website of the Nizhny Novgorod company OOO "PKF "Nizhegorodsky Khleb"" ("Nizhny Novgorod Bread"), a supplier of food-industry equipment[3]. The company represented leading Russian and foreign manufacturers of equipment for food production, packaging and bottling across the Volga Federal District[2], and its sales department took calls at the Nizhny Novgorod numbers (8312) 73-98-46, 73-98-47[3] and, later, (831) 248-18-48[4]. The site was listed in the Nizhny Novgorod Internet directory nn.ru (the /rub/ section)[1].
What the site offered
The early version of the page (2004) presented the company through seven catalog sections — bakery, confectionery and pasta equipment, meat-processing equipment, packaging and filling equipment, and equipment for cafes and bars; the page footer read "Copyright © 2003 'Nizhegorodsky Khleb'"[2]. By 2006 the site's structure had grown: sections appeared for "Company history," "Company mission," "Our partners," "What people say about us," technical and technological support, a separate catalog of food ingredients for meat, bakery and confectionery production, and a news feed with dated entries — on participation in a seminar held by ZAO "Belogorye" (August 9–11, 2006), on the launch of the Italian RS 105 injector at the Kovrov meat-processing plant (August 9, 2006), and on a seminar on bakery equipment for the consumer cooperative union of Mordovia (May 23, 2006)[3]. As the home page stated in 2006, the company "is one of the largest suppliers of food and packaging equipment in the Volga Federal District" and has "a developed infrastructure (offices, exhibition halls, warehouse terminals, a large vehicle fleet)"[3].
The later version and exhibition participation
By 2010 the site reported that the company "has been operating in the food-industry equipment market since 1995," having started with supplies of bakery equipment — flour sifters, dough-mixing machines, dough dividers, dough-proofing chambers, moulding machines, rotary ovens and bread slicers[4]. New sections appeared in the menu — "Branches," "For dealers," "Auction" and "Presentations" — and the news feed recorded participation in industry trade shows: "Food Industry" in Volgograd (March 30–31, 2010) and "Agro-2010" in Orenburg (March 17–18, 2010)[4].
Place in the Nizhny Novgorod internet
According to the data collected, the site was listed in the nn.ru directory (the /rub/ section), where it appeared as a representative of food-equipment suppliers[1]. No records of participation in the Nizhny Novgorod Internet Day vote or data from Counter.nn.ru are found in the surviving samples for this site — it was present in the reference directory but not in the ratings measurements included in the Archival study of the Nizhny Novgorod internet from the counter.nn.ru rating.
How the site closed
The earliest snapshot of the domain in the web archive is dated October 17, 2002, and the latest substantive snapshot of the home page is dated April 11, 2010[4]. According to a later archive capture (March 27, 2023), the domain hleb-nn.ru redirected to the domain nizhhleb.ru[5] — meaning the company apparently continued operating under a new domain name, while the former address fell out of independent use.
