In honor of the sporting achievements of the Avtozavodsky district's athletes, on September 12, 2004 — City Day — an Alley of Olympic Glory opened on Dyakonova Street. It is adorned with portraits of Olympic champions and medalists: weightlifter Viktor Bushuev, ice hockey players Viktor Konovalenko, Aleksandr Skvortsov, and Vladimir Kovin, cross-country skier Alevtina Olyunina, and track-and-field athletes Natalya Sadova and Yuliya Sotnikova. A portrait of Alexander Anufriev is also there.
