torgservis.r52.ru was the site of Novtorgservis-NN LLC, a Nizhny Novgorod company engaged in trade and refrigeration equipment, and later in servicing air conditioning, ventilation, and cooling systems[3]. The company's office was located in Nizhny Novgorod at 94 Osharskaya Street, 603105, with phone and fax numbers (831) 278-43-03 and 428-73-73[3]. The site lived in the Nizhny Novgorod zone r52.ru: the first archived snapshot of the home page is dated April 19, 2001[1], and the last is dated October 11, 2011[3].

The site

The early snapshots preserved almost nothing of the content: the archived copies from 2001 and 2003 yield from the home page only the title "NovtorgServis-NN | Trade Equipment," the copyright line "© 2001 Novtorgservis-NN," and two service credits at the bottom[1][2]. These credits are themselves telling: "Coding by Info-online" and "Hosting by R52.RU"[1]. Between 2001 and 2003 the page did not change at all — both snapshots show the same text with the same 2001 copyright[2].

By 2011 the site looked different: the home page had become an "About the company" page with a long first-person text. "Welcome to Novtorgservis-NN LLC" is how the home page's address to the visitor began, as reported[3]. At the bottom stood the copyright "© 2011 'Novtorgservis'" and the credit "Company R 52.RU design and hosting" — meaning that over ten years the site had changed the party doing the layout work but stayed with the same Nizhny Novgorod host[3].

What the company did

In the early 2000s the line of business was described in the most minimal terms — the home page title read "Trade Equipment"[1]. The 2011 text describes it more broadly: servicing, supply, installation, and repair of air conditioning systems (air conditioners, chillers), ventilation, refrigeration equipment, as well as water supply, heating, and sewage systems[3]. Two new lines of business were announced separately: natural smoke-extraction systems with skylights and hatches, and fire-and-smoke protective curtain systems with automation linked to the fire alarm[3].

By its own account, the company had been operating in the services market since 1998[3]. The page listed Nizhny Novgorod clients under long-term contracts: Sladkaya Zhizn Company LLC, Maslozhirkombinat, Universam Nagorny, Hotel Tsentralny, Nizhfarm OJSC, Kalinka, VKT, the Spar and Kopeyka-Povolzhye store chains, Assorti, Muravey, Lenta trading house, the Oktyabrskaya hotel, and the restaurants Tashkent and Tokyo[3]. The service area covered the region — Dzerzhinsk, Pavlovo, Arzamas, Kstovo, Zavolzhye, Balakhna, Bor, Gorodets, Sergach, Sarov, Chkalovsk, and Vyksa[3].

The technical portion of the text listed brands: Copeland, Bitzer, and Frascold refrigeration compressors; Airwell, McQuay, Clivet, and Trane chillers; "System Mire" and "Dantwer" ventilation; and Daikin, Toshiba, General, Panasonic, LG, and Hitachi air conditioners[3]. The cost of servicing included automation adjustment, routine repair, drain system cleaning, and consultations for the client's staff, but did not include major and restorative repairs, installation, or dismantling[3]. The company reported having its own service department with transport, mobile communication for field workers, and a parts warehouse in Nizhny Novgorod and towns of the region, as well as federal license D 933554 dated October 8, 2007[3].

Place in the Nizhny Novgorod internet

This was a typical second-tier corporate business-card site: it entered our census from the nn.ru city directory and did not compete for traffic. In our data from the Counter.nn.ru rating no figures are recorded for it, and it does not appear in the final results table of the Nizhny Novgorod Internet Day vote for 2004[4]. Such sites made up the bulk of the Nizhny Novgorod Internet of the 2000s: the page existed as a reference for phone numbers and services rather than as a medium — for more on the breakdown of audiences see the Archival study of the Nizhny Novgorod internet from the counter.nn.ru rating.

How it closed

The last snapshot of the home page in the web archive is dated October 11, 2011[3]. The domain torgservis.r52.ru no longer exists; exactly when it stopped being maintained cannot be established from the surviving materials. What remains of the site is a single substantive page — the "About the company" page from 2011, from which everything described here has been reconstructed.
