office.r52.ru was a Nizhny Novgorod website carrying a single commercial offer: it advertised the sale of a nonresidential built-in office space in the Kanavinsky district of Nizhny Novgorod, with a contact phone number in the Nizhny Novgorod area code (8312)[1]. It ran on a third-level domain of the r52.ru zone; the earliest surviving snapshots of the home page date to 2002, and the last known snapshot of the address is from June 2004[1][2]. No organization is named as the site's owner: the page is signed with the name of a contact person.

The commercial offer

The entire content of the home page was a card for a single property. At the top stood a heading, "COMMERCIAL OFFER," and a subheading, "NONRESIDENTIAL PREMISES FOR SALE (ACTIVE OFFICE)," as the home page put it[1]. Below it came a table of parameters: city — Nizhny Novgorod, district — Kanavinsky, location — "5 minutes' walk from the railway station," access routes — "convenient, near a busy transport interchange," premises type — "nonresidential, built-in"[1].

The property itself was designated "Premises No. 12," with an area of 260 square meters on the fourth floor of a four-story administrative building; the "Year built" field listed a 1960 reconstruction, and the form of ownership was private[1]. Separate lines listed the utilities — central heating, sewerage, electricity, water — as well as two telephone lines, dedicated-line internet, one emergency exit, round-the-clock security, and convenient parking with a car lot. The condition was stated plainly: "Cosmetic repairs needed." It was separately noted that "the premises are currently leased out," meaning the property was offered as an active, tenanted asset[1].

Besides the table, the page linked to illustrative materials: next to the city name stood a link "Map and premises layouts," next to the district — "Map," and next to the property itself — "Premises plan"[1]. These files have not survived in the snapshots available to us, so they can only be judged by the link captions. For contact, the page listed the phone number (8312) 44-17-86 and a name — Starodubtseva Albina Vladimirovna — along with a mailbox on the r52.ru domain[1]. The plural in the site's name ("nonresidential premises for offices") and the property's number — twelve — suggest the offer was conceived as a series, though only one property appears in the surviving snapshot[1].

Place in the Nizhny Novgorod internet

The site belonged to the r52.ru zone — Nizhny Novgorod by definition. It entered the Nizhny Novgorod Internet through the nn.ru directory: that is the source of its directory listing, "Sale of nonresidential premises (active offices)." The domain does not appear in the surviving samples of the Counter.nn.ru rating; nor is it in the final voting table of the Nizhny Novgorod Internet Day for 2004[3]. The site did not compete for an audience and, judging by its design, was not built to: it addressed not a reader but a buyer, for whom it was enough to open the page with the parameters once and call. For more on how the surviving body of Nizhny Novgorod addresses is structured, see the Archival study of the Nizhny Novgorod internet from the counter.nn.ru rating.

Closure

The last snapshot of the address in the web archive is dated June 12, 2004[2]; the archive index knows of seven visits to this address in all. After 2004 there are no traces of the site operating, and the domain is listed as dead. Whether a deal was made, who acted as the seller of the premises, and what became of the property on the fourth floor of the administrative building five minutes' walk from the railway station cannot be established from the surviving materials: beyond the single page with the table of parameters, nothing of office.r52.ru remains.
