nkrz.ru — website of the Nizhny Novgorod Cardboard and Roofing Felt Plant (Нижегородский картонно-рубероидный завод), an enterprise located at 11 Sportsmensky Lane, with phone numbers under area code 8312[1]. In the nn.ru directory the site was listed under the building-materials category with the description "cardboard, roofing felt, glassine, bitumen, roofing, waterproofing"[1]. The site was in operation for a notable stretch: the earliest web-archive snapshot is dated 2003, and the domain was recorded in the census through 2023[4].

What the site looked like and what it offered

The 2003 home page had a menu with "Company, News, Products, Prices, Links, Documentation, Raw Materials, Rates, Miscellaneous, Vacancies, Contacts, Map". The site listed the plant's management: director Dmitry Bakshandaev, commercial director Dmitry Cherkunov, chief engineer Yevgeny Shuvalov, along with staff of the sales and supply departments. It listed the phone numbers +7 (8312) 416 962, +7 (8312) 413 774, fax +7 (8312) 412 220, the email info@nn.tn.ru, and ICQ UIN 224158427[1]. As the home page stated, the plant "was founded in 1934 and has been operating in Russia's construction market for about 70 years," and in February 2003 "the enterprise joined the TechnoNIKOL group"; for 2004 the plans included "upgrading the plant's equipment to double the speed of the work performed" and launching production of fiberglass-based roofing felt[1]. The site also reported the installation of digital communication lines and a high-speed internet channel for working with customers by email and ICQ[1].

By 2014 the site's structure had changed to the sections "Home, About the Plant, News, Products, Prices, Documentation, Vacancies, Raw Materials, Rates, Contacts", while the address at 11 Sportsmensky Lane remained the same. As the home page stated, the plant produced "a wide range of soft roofing materials": the fiberglass-based torch-on coverings "Linokrom", "Bikrost", "Uniflex" and "Bipol", underlay and universal roofing felt, and rubemast — "a rolled torch-on roofing material made from roofing cardboard coated with high-plasticity bitumen"[2]. The warranty period for the torch-on coverings was stated as 15–20 years[2]. The news block on the page carried the entry "15.07.2013 85 years to Kanavinsky District!!!", and the "New on the site" section contained the placeholder "No documents found"[2].

Place in the Nizhny Novgorod internet

The site was listed in the nn.ru directory (the /rub/ section) under the Nizhny Novgorod second-level domain[1]. No data on the Counter.nn.ru rating or votes in the Nizhny Novgorod Internet Day for nkrz.ru was recorded in the surviving sample — this means an absence of data in the sample, not a confirmed zero.

How it closed

By December 2019 the plant's site content at nkrz.ru had disappeared: the home page showed a domain registrar's placeholder titled "Nkrz.ru" with the text "Site under construction", offering domain registration, hosting, and website-creation services; at the bottom of the page it read "Domain registered through i7.RU / i7.AM / IP.com.kg"[3]. By February 2023 the page remained the same registrar placeholder, with the wording "Domain registered through i7.RU"[4]. The material contains no data on the fate of the plant as an enterprise; the last web-archive snapshot of the site recorded in the census is dated June 6, 2023.
