Turkin Nikolay Ivanovich (1913 – 1998) — participant in the The Great Patriotic War, State Prize laureate, and distinguished Avtozavod worker. From 1975 to 1983, he served as director of the Gorky Gearbox Plant. He was elected as a deputy to the Avtozavodsky District Soviet of People's Deputies.
Achievements
He was awarded two Orders of the Red Star and the Order of the Red Banner of Labour, the Order of the October Revolution, and various medals.
The title of "Honorary Citizen of the City of Nizhny Novgorod" was conferred by resolution of the City Duma of the City of Nizhny Novgorod dated April 27, 1995, No. 11.
