Lenin Street is the main street of the city of Bor in Nizhny Novgorod Region. In 2026, a comprehensive improvement project for the street won the All-Russian Competition for Small Cities and Historic Settlements.[1]
Victory in the All-Russian Competition
In August 2026, a comprehensive improvement project for Lenin Street in Bor was named among the winners of the All-Russian Competition for Small Cities and Historic Settlements. A total of five projects from Nizhny Novgorod Region won that year — from Arzamas, Sarov, Semyonov, Balakhna, and Bor. The results of the competition were announced by Gleb Nikitin.[1]
Among the other winning Nizhny Novgorod projects of 2026: the creation of a contemporary culture center in Gaidar Park (Arzamas), the Poznaniye — Territory of Discoveries Park in Sarov, the Syn Semyonovskikh Lesov project for the development of the museum-and-factory cluster in Semyonov, the renovation of Soviet Square and Minin Square with the restoration of the Church of the Nativity of the Theotokos and the Dom Moskvy in Balakhna.[1]
Including the 2026 winners, the total number of Nizhny Novgorod Region projects recognized in the competition exceeded 50. Among those previously completed are Borok Park in Uren, the central square of Dzerzhinsk, and Gorodets Museum Quarter.[1]
