In 1664 he was granted the ranks of boyar and dvoretsky (court steward).
In 1667 the same man was the second member of the court that tried Patriarch Nikon.
In 1671 he was the first dignitary at the wedding of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich to Naryshkina ("stood by the sennik", the bridal chamber).
On 24 July 1679 Prince I.A. Vorotynsky died; with him the line of the Princes Vorotynsky came to an end. His children had died before their father: his son Mikhail in 1677, his daughters Stefanida and Paraskeva in 1661 and in 1679. The line ceased — and the entire enormous property of the Princes Vorotynsky passed wholly into the ownership of the state.
