Kiryanov Igor Aleksandrovich (1918–2007) — Candidate of Historical Sciences, veteran of the The Great Patriotic War. Chairman of the society "Nizhny Novgorod Local Historian", member of the presidium of the Nizhny Novgorod Cultural Foundation. Author of the books "The Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin" and "Ancient Fortresses of the Nizhny Novgorod Volga Region".
Achievements
Awarded two Orders of the Red Star, the Order of the Patriotic War 1st Class, and various medals.
The title of "Honorary Citizen of the City of Nizhny Novgorod" was conferred by resolution of the City Duma of Nizhny Novgorod dated July 7, 1994, No. 10.
