The House of Actor is a professional cultural centre for Nizhny Novgorod theatre people. It was built and opened in Nizhny Novgorod on the initiative and with the direct involvement of Vikhrov, chairman of the Nizhny Novgorod branch of the Union of Theatre Workers (STD).
History of its creation
The House of Actor was erected during a period of intense public activity by Vikhrov, who from 1975 headed the Nizhny Novgorod branch of the Union of Theatre Workers and later became a secretary of the Union of Theatre Workers of Russia and chairman of the regional board of the Union of Theatre Workers of the Volga Region. The construction and opening of the institution became one of the main results of his many years of work for the benefit of Nizhny Novgorod theatre life.
