Gosclub — the personnel reserve training foundation "Gosudarstvennyy Klub" (State Club). Founded in March 2006.
Nature of the Phenomenon
The activities of the "State Club" are directed toward forming a managerial elite — a patriotically oriented "political class" of Russia. The Club promotes the development of relevant educational processes and academic research, and the spread of modern high standards in university academic and extracurricular work to the majority of Russian universities across various regions of the country.
A distinctive motto of the Club is expressed in the following words of the head of its board of trustees, S.N. Shishkarev: "No one but ourselves needs a strong Russia. This must be understood once and for all. In our hands lies its future."

Dear colleagues, dear friends!
Today Russia is building a new "smart" economy. A new economy means, above all, new approaches to work — changing the methods of managing a system's internal resources toward greater rationality, openness, and efficiency. The personnel reserve training foundation "State Club" sees its primary mission as promoting the development of an innovation class in Russia. Speaking about innovation without linking it to support for education and science, civic associations, and youth organizations simply makes no sense. We will have good roads only if we raise skilled engineers and technologists. Our country will produce the best aircraft only if we are able to train professional designers. Without an effective system of support for talented and enterprising young people, we simply will not be able to compete in world markets. For only a creative estate and innovative civic groups will be able to drive the growth in competitiveness that is the primary condition for revitalizing the economic system. Thus, the first step on the path of innovative development must be the effective use of civil society's potential and a focus on practically significant scientific and technical research. I am confident that the contribution made by the "State Club" Foundation to the development and support of youth associations, to shaping a new generation of engineers, scientists, and managers, will help our country take a step forward and rise to a new level of economic progress and civil society development in Russia! |

Useful Activities
The "State Club" organizes lectures and seminars by prominent Russian statesmen and public figures, scholars and experts, and provides grants to lecturers, researchers, postgraduate students, and undergraduates for conducting research, conferences, and seminars aimed at fostering modern knowledge in the humanities and developing management skills.
At the same time, the "State Club" Foundation participates in the state program for supporting civil society institutions. Since 2007, the Foundation has been one of the operator organizations conducting annual open competitions for Presidential Grants, in which public organizations participate by submitting their socially significant projects. Each operator specializes in running the competition in one area of the social sphere.
