Sharonov Gennadiy Ivanovich (born March 7, 1932) — lathe operator at a machine-building plant, winner of the socialist competition, Hero of Socialist Labor, elected deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR and delegate to the 26th Congress of the CPSU, deputy of the Gorky City and Regional Soviets of People's Deputies.

Awarded the Orders of Lenin, the Red Banner of Labor, and various medals.
The title of "Honorary Citizen of the City of Gorky" was conferred by resolution of the Gorky City Soviet of People's Deputies on September 15, 1983.
