Lenina, Hotel Tsentralny, office 419, with the phone number (831) 415-15-75[1]. The domain was registered on November 13, 2000, as stated by the home page citing data from the registrar REG.ru[2]; the earliest surviving snapshot of the site in the web archive is dated March 1, 2001, and already carried the copyright notice "© 2000" in the name of OOO "GAZinformCENTER"[3].

What the site offered

The service positioned itself as an intermediary between buyers and Nizhny Novgorod dealers of GAZ and PAZ vehicles: according to the site, a call to the information line (the cost was listed as "10-15 rubles" in the 2013 snapshot and "30 rubles" in the 2011 snapshot) was supposed to yield the "real factory-outlet price" of a vehicle with no additional charges to follow[1][2]. As the home page stated, the service "has information on all discounts and promotions from GAZ dealers in Nizhny Novgorod," and prices on the site were updated once a week[2]. Besides the office phone, in 2011 the site listed four mobile numbers with operators Megafon, Beeline, MTS, and NSS with the regional code 52, as well as an email address on the rambler.ru domain[1]. By 2013 the site's menu included the sections "PRICES," "GAZELLE TUNING," "RECOMMENDATIONS," "ABOUT THE COMPANY," "GAZelle Next," and "VANS," and a second city phone number appeared among the contacts — (831) 415-21-42[2].

In the nn.ru directory, the site was placed in the "/rub/" section with the description "Prices for GAZ and PAZ vehicles in Nizhny Novgorod" (according to our data on the nn.ru directory). No votes for gazinform.ru are recorded in our data for the Nizhny Novgorod Internet Day in 2004, and the site does not appear in the surviving samples of the Counter.nn.ru rating — the Archival study of the Nizhny Novgorod internet from the counter.nn.ru rating preserved no data on its position.

How it closed

A web-archive snapshot of the domain from February 11, 2025, is the last one whose content is reflected in our data; by that point the content of the page at gazinform.ru no longer had anything to do with "GAZinformCENTER" and the price-information service, consisting instead of promotional text about selling "GAZelle Next" and "GAZelle BUSINESS" vehicles with the phone number 8 (831) 415-15-75 — the snapshot's title began with the words "BUY GAZelle Next and GAZelle BUSINESS"[4]. The exact circumstances of the original information service's closure have not survived in the material.
