Main facts of career
In the 1960s worked at the Gorky Metallurgical Plant and at the Krasnoye Sormovo Plant, from 1972 – in teaching at the Polytechnic Institute. Dean of the metallurgical faculty in 1982-1997, head of the department of Metallurgical and Heating Furnaces in 1988-1999. In 1988 defended his doctoral dissertation at the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys on “Thermophysical patterns of the solidification of steel ingots”. Professor, Doctor of Technical Sciences. Author of 3 monographs and more than 100 scholarly works.
