boldino-hotel.com — the official website of the Boldino hotel, the municipal unitary enterprise "Boldino Hotel Complex" in the village of Bolshoye Boldino, Bolshoboldinsky District, Nizhny Novgorod Region.[1] The first snapshot of the domain in the web archive is dated 6 January 2004, the last one — 2026, by which time the site had been replaced by a registrar's page about the expiry of the registration period.
A hotel next to Pushkin's estate
The home page stated that the Boldino hotel complex had been built for the 200th anniversary of the birth of A. S. Pushkin in 1999 and was located in the immediate vicinity of the poet's museum-estate.[1] The address and telephone number appeared in the header of every page: Bolshoye Boldino village, 2a Yubileynaya Street, +7 (83138) 2-29-63.[1] The enterprise offered, as the site put it, "services for arranging business and cultural events", as well as the chance "simply to rest in the land where A. S. Pushkin once stayed".[1]
The room stock was described in detail: 27 double rooms, 8 single rooms, 10 triple rooms, 4 suites and 1 apartment room — fifty in all.[1] The "Standard" category occupied the first and second floors: single beds, a standard set of furniture, a television, a refrigerator, a shower and a washbasin in the bathroom. The "Suite" category consisted of three-room units with air conditioning; the apartment room was a two-room unit with a bedroom and a sitting room, a "king-size double bed", tableware, a telephone and a hairdryer in the bathroom.[1] The facilities included a restaurant, a banquet hall, a café-bar, a billiard room, free Wi-Fi, a paid guarded car park, a hairdresser's, a cash machine and an ironing service; check-out time was 12:00.[1]
How the site was arranged
The menu consisted of nine sections: "About the Hotel", "Rooms", "Prices", "Meals", "Entertainment", "Conferences", "Photo Gallery", "Guestbook" (in the duplicate bottom menu — "Guest Book") and "Contacts".[1] A guestbook was a characteristic mark of the sites of that era: reviews were collected on the site's own pages.
The proximity of dissimilar elements on a single page gave away the dual nature of the enterprise. Next to the banner "WE ARE 15 YEARS OLD !!!" stood a link to Federal Law No. 223-FZ of 18 July 2011 "On the Procurement of Goods, Works and Services by Certain Types of Legal Entities" — a procurement page mandatory for a municipal unitary enterprise.[1] The TravelLine online booking system and its "TravelLine: Analytics" counter were connected on the same page.[1] Counting the "15 years" from the construction in 1999 points to 2014; the footer read "© 2015 Official website".[1]
Between the snapshots of 5 March 2016 and 6 June 2017 the text of the home page did not change by a single line — including the 2015 copyright notice and the fifteenth-anniversary banner.[2] By that time the site was no longer being updated.
Place in the Nizhny Novgorod internet
The domain was registered no later than the beginning of 2004, but there was still no site behind it: the snapshot of 6 January 2004 shows an "UNDER CONSTRUCTION" placeholder with the text "This site is under development and will not be available for some time yet" and the signature "Domain Administrator".[3] It was in this form that the address came into the view of Nizhny Novgorod Internet Day in 2004; no votes are recorded for it in the competition's final table.[4]
In the Counter.nn.ru rating the site took no measurable place — its figure in the collected data equals zero. For the Nizhny Novgorod Internet this is the usual position of a website of a municipal enterprise from a rural district: in a regional traffic counter oriented above all towards a city audience it left no noticeable trace. More on the measurement methodology — in the Archival study of the Nizhny Novgorod internet from the counter.nn.ru rating.
How it closed
The snapshot of 18 January 2026 shows not a hotel any more but a registrar's page: "The registration period of the domain boldino-hotel.com has expired", with offers to renew the registration, to order the "Domain Broker" service or to choose a similar name in another zone.[5] The last web archive record for the domain is dated 6 June 2026.[5]
What became of the hotel complex itself is not reported by the archived snapshots — only its website disappeared. Of the more than two decades during which the address was listed in the web archive, there remain the placeholder of 2004 and two almost identical copies of the home page from the mid-2010s.
