Bagem (autobagem.ru) is the website of the Nizhny Novgorod company OOO Bagem, which in the early 2000s converted vans on GAZ chassis[1], and later sold trailers for cars and trucks and made them to order[2][5]. The plant address the site listed in the footer in the mid-2010s was Nizhny Novgorod, Svobody Street 63, office 507[2]. The first snapshot of the domain in the web archive is dated 5 August 2001[1], the latest — 6 June 2026[5].

First version: a page made of keywords

The 2001 snapshot preserved a home page consisting almost entirely of a list of search keywords. It opens with "-=OOO Bagem=-" repeated five times, followed by the list itself: "N.Novgorod, Nizhny, Novgorod, NN, N.Novgorod, Novgorod, Nizhny Novgorod Region, van, vans, autovan, autovans, dry goods, insulated, bread, food" — and then the GAZ chassis models GAZ-3307, GAZ-3308, GAZ-3302, GAZ-33021, GAZ-33022-210, GAZ-33022-110, "Gazelle", "Sadko", and the engines ZMZ-402, ZMZ-406, UMZ-4215[1]. The same word list names OAO Krona, and the page ends with the line "cooperation 2001 OOO \"BAGEM\" Coding Info-online Hosting R 52"[1]. In a directory of Nizhny Novgorod websites the firm was described in a single line: "Sale, installation, conversion of vans on GAZ chassis"[6].

Trailer shop in the 2010s

By the mid-2010s autobagem.ru was an online shop with a cart, user registration, and a currency selector. The top menu had the sections "For Investors", "For Suppliers", "Price List", "Delivery and Payment", "Order Form", "Contacts", and "Link Exchange", alongside search with a "search within results" option and a calculator "Calculate km to your city" with "From us" and "To you" fields[2]. The callback form promised to call back "within 60 seconds" and offered a choice of topic: trailer rental, trailer manufacturing, vans, aerial platform trucks (AGP), truck-mounted cranes (KMU), flatbed trucks, aluminum profiles, metal furniture, sandwich panels, auto parts, metalworking, dog enclosures, Trade-IN[2]. The hotline phone numbers were +7 (953) 415-06-47 and +7 (953) 415-47-47; the firm kept its mail on a neighboring domain: info@bagem.ru and the managers' address kmg@bagem.ru[2]. Next to the cart were two names, Viktor and Marina, and at the bottom a "Digital catalog", a "Russian / English" switch, and the only listed partner, the Nizhny Novgorod Yacht Club[2].

The site described itself this way: "We are the leader of the Nizhny Novgorod market in the sale of custom and specialized automotive trailers"; it also stated that delivery time was 2 to 60 days, and that rental was offered "for residents of Nizhny Novgorod and Nizhny Novgorod Region"[2]. Product counters in the categories give the catalog's size: in 2014 the "Trailer Sales" section had 83 listings, "Van Sales" — 25, aluminum profiles — 14[2]; by 2015 trailers had grown to 85, while only two vans remained[3]. In autumn 2016 the assortment was rebuilt by trailer category: 31 listings up to 750 kg (category O1) and 48 listings up to 3,500 kg (category O2) — the latter including horse trailers, yacht trailers, and trailers for transporting fish and diesel fuel[4]. At the same time the catalog gained lines of business unrelated to trailers: plasma cutting, cutting of plywood, chipboard and fiberboard, argon welding of aluminum and stainless steel, LED panels, IBC containers. Some of these sections, along with "Auto Service", "Tow Hitches for Any Car", and "We Buy Trailers", showed zero listings[4].

The news feed on the home page gives a chronicle of the enterprise: 25 February 2011 — "Price List for DGU Chassis Trailers", 10 March 2011 — "Tow Truck Trailers", 12 March 2011 — "Trailer for Transporting PE Pipes", 18 February 2012 — "Tractor Trailers", 4 May 2012 — "Press About Us"[2]; on 5 December 2014, three entries in a row about shipments, among them "Laboratory Trailer Shipped"[3]; 19 April 2016 — "Helping Children!", 1 June 2016 — "Any Tow Hitch for Your Car", 26 and 27 September 2016 — "Cooperation Agreement" and "Agreement with IRIS-NN"[4].

Place in the Nizhny Novgorod internet

The site is listed in the nn.ru directory — a catalog of the Nizhny Novgorod Internet, where a number from the Counter.nn.ru counter was shown next to each resource: for Bagem the rating link led to counter.nn.ru/?2942[6]. In the snapshot from 23 June 2002, OOO Bagem is listed under "Firms (Enterprises) → Auto → Maintenance and Auto Service" with a rating of 71. The list was ordered by descending rating, and this is the twelfth line among the twenty sites on the first page that had a rating assigned: the section leader, the firm VOLGA TREYD, had 1226, and the last of these twenty, OOO Agro-Servis, had 8. Five more sites on the page had "none" listed in the rating column, and the section as a whole had 48 sites across two pages[6]. On how this rating was calculated, see the Archival study of the Nizhny Novgorod internet from the counter.nn.ru rating. In the surviving list of nominees for Nizhny Novgorod Internet Day (snapshot of 26 December 2004, by which point the voting had concluded), the site does not appear[7].

Latest version

The snapshot from 6 June 2026 caught the site rebuilt: instead of a shop with a cart — a showcase page under the heading "Buy a Trailer for a Passenger Car in Nizhny Novgorod | Custom Passenger Trailers" with a menu of sections "Trailers" (up to 750 kg, up to 3.5 tons, over 3.5 tons, custom order), "Parts", "Services", "Franchise", "Contacts", and "Blog"[5]. The phone numbers stayed the same but were now split by purpose: +7 953 415-47-47 — sales department, +7 953 415-06-47 — production[5]. In the advantages block the site wrote about itself: "20+ years of experience, working since 1999", placing the start of the business earlier than the domain's first snapshot[5]. At the same time the page remained unfinished: the menu next to "About the Company" still carried the template's placeholder items "Menu One", "Menu Two", "Menu Three", and the "Why Us" section had four unfilled entries — "What Should I Do If My Interior Broken?", "What Is Your Location?", "Robus Building", "What Is Your Main Services?" — with Lorem ipsum placeholder text instead of answers[5].

When checked in August 2026, the site at this address was responding. What became of the enterprise itself in the years since, the archival materials do not say.
