Festive events dedicated to Russia Day will take place in Avtozavodsky District of Nizhny Novgorod on June 12. This was reported on the district administration's website www.avtozavod.nnov.ru. Throughout the day, leaders of the "Young Guard" of the "United Russia" political party will be welcoming all guests in Avtozavodskiy Park and handing out Russian ribbons, flags, and magnets bearing the "United Russia" party insignia. From 10:00, a colorful panoramic exhibition dedicated to Alexander Nevsky will be on display. Along the park's central alley, a district championship in intellectual sports (draughts, chess, backgammon) is taking place, open to all comers. <..> Another gift was a giant postcard with congratulations and poetic lines about Russia, authored by residents of Avtozavodsky District — participants in the district poetry contest "Live On, My Vast and Boundless Russia." The festive programme will conclude with a tasting of the longest festive pie. |
