advnn.ru is the website of the ADV advertising agency from the early 2000s. The domain entered our census from the nn.ru directory, where the project was described as "design, programming, layout, advertising and technical support." The first web-archive snapshot of the home page is dated 20 January 2002[1]: it is a feed of three December news items about the agency's promo campaigns, one of which states that the new design standard "has already been implemented in the original decoration of promo points in Nizhny Novgorod"[1]. The content at this address later changed completely twice: in 2012 the site hosted an advertising agency from the town of Lgov[2], and in 2016 a cosmetics website[3].

The home page in 2002

The snapshot from 20 January 2002 is titled ":: A D V::..". The menu listed sections: "news | about the agency | services | ideas | projects | prices | for advertisers | for competitors | contacts | site map"[1].

The three surviving news items are dated 19–21 December 2001 and all concern promo campaigns. The item from 21 December is titled "Father Frost spotted at the spring": "Svyatoy Istochnik" (Holy Spring) and ADV offer consumers a "new standard for the New Year table," in which the "champagne-sweets-tangerines" set should be supplemented with quality drinking water; the same item states that the new standard "has already been implemented in the original decoration of promo points in Nizhny Novgorod"[1]. The entry from 20 December, "Housewives write to the Housewife," summed up a promo campaign for the NMZhK margarine brand "Khozyayushka" (Little Housewife): a two-month campaign that, according to the page, covered 600 retail outlets in 16 regions of Russia and more than half a million consumers[1]. The third item, from 19 December, wrote about a beer promotion, "Who's going for the prize?", by the "Klinskoye" brand: thousands of participants in weekly drawings for "companionable" prizes, with the main intrigue — awarding a "Lada Niva" (a "nine," referring to the VAZ-2109 car) to the author of the best surprise prize — still ahead at the time of publication[1].

Its place in the Nizhny Novgorod internet

In the nn.ru directory card, from which the site entered our Archival study of the Nizhny Novgorod internet from the counter.nn.ru rating, the description is accompanied by a list of the project's technologies: the Red Hat Linux 6.2.2 operating system, an Apache server, PHP4, PostgreSQL, and the SmartSite v.2.0 content management system.

In the Counter.nn.ru counter rating, the domain is not recorded with us: the source of the card is listed as the nn.ru directory, and the rating and vote count in it are zero. The domain's lifespan in our census of the Nizhny Novgorod Internet runs from 2002 to 2025.

In 2012 — a different agency, from Lgov

In the snapshot from 12 May 2012, the address advnn.ru hosted "Advertising agency ADVNN," with the phone number "(471400) 324-542," working hours 10:00–20:00, and a menu of sections: "Home," "About the company," "Photo studio," "Design," "Promo campaigns," "Order," "Contacts"[2]. The caption at the bottom of the page names the developer as "Design by Grafoff" and gives the address "Lgov, Tankistov St., 5" — not in Nizhny Novgorod[2]. About itself, the agency stated that it was "the oldest such organization in the region" and that "ten years of work have not gone to waste"[2].

The site listed its services: preparing presentations, conferences and symposiums, its own training center for preparing participants in promo campaigns and advertising campaigns, studio photography, dynamic advertising (billboards), tastings, and trial sales. There was also a souvenir products shop with a cart ("Your cart contains 0 items for a total of 0 rubles") and a catalog listing promotional umbrellas, card holders, lighters, calculators, wall clocks, tea sets, and pens[2].

The cosmetics website and the end of the domain

By 2 April 2016, no trace of the advertising business remained on the domain: the snapshot shows the site "Krasivaya ty" ("Beautiful You" — a publicistic website) with materials about professional cosmetics dated 2014–2015, and a menu of sections: "Home," "Contacts," "Site map"[3].

The snapshot from 22 March 2024 is preserved in our sample in unreadable form — no text can be extracted from it[4]. According to our census card, the last home-page snapshot is dated 23 January 2025, and the domain's status is marked as "no domain." Of the ADV agency, all that remains in our material is a single home-page snapshot from January 2002 — three December news items and a menu line.
